The little village of Belstone, perched at 1000 feet on the very edge of Dartmoor – the largest and most dramatic open space in England – is not only a beautiful place to visit and stay, but is also a quintessential Devon village: old granite buildings; many thatched roofs; working farms still in the heart of the village; a friendly local pub; two moorland rivers; sheep and ponies grazing the village green. Just three miles from Okehampton and within three minutes’ drive of the A30 dual carriageway Belstone is equidistant between two coasts – each under an hour away – and less than thirty minutes from Exeter or Cornwall.
