The little village of Belstone, perched at 1000 feet on the very edge of Dartmoor – the largest and most dramatic open space in England – is not only a beautiful place to visit and stay, but is also a quintessential Devon village: old granite buildings; many thatched roofs; working farms still in the heart of the village; a friendly local pub; two moorland rivers; sheep and ponies grazing the village green. And all this under the dramatic sweep of the moorland hills with their craggy granite tors.
Just three miles from Okehampton and within three minutes’ drive of the A30 dual carriageway Belstone is equidistant between two coasts – each under an hour away – and less than thirty minutes from Exeter or Cornwall.
