Thank you for your interest in learning Spinal Touch
Spinal Touch is a powerful and unique technique for assessing and treating postural distortion. It is unique as it realigns the body’s centre of gravity to the gravitational pull of our planet. Gently applied to more than a hundred reflex points and muscle insertions, it both addresses mechanical imbalance and has a powerful healing effect on the energy field. As it does not involve the application of mechanical force it is pain-free for the client and strain-free for the practitioner. Graduates of our courses find that offering Spinal Touch to their clients transforms their work, often inducing favourable outcomes where all other treatments have failed. Our former trainees build thriving practices with Spinal Touch at the centre of their work.
Our courses are taught to small groups and offer a thorough training in Spinal Touch technique. The teaching is based on the pioneering work of Dr John Hurley a structural engineer, a healer and chiropractor who developed it in the 1920’s. From his engineering background he combined laws of leverage, physiology and acupuncture meridians.
Dr Rosquist another chiropractor continued his work. Susanna Terry was trained by Dr Rosquist as a Spinal Touch/ Biomechanics instructor . He validated her courses until he passed away.
The Light Touch Therapy courses are accredited by the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA) UK.They offer 20 credits for continuous professional development (CPD)
Our training is open to qualified therapists and practitioners whose training has included the study of Anatomy & Physiology (A&P). If you do not fit this profile you may still come on our course if you are currently studying A&P or a course which includes A&P. Here is an A&P course you can access online: http://susannaloves.com/anatomyandphysiology
You can of course study any other A&P course which you might prefer.
Therapists and practitioners who successfully complete our training will be awarded a Diploma for the professional practice of Spinal Touch. They will be eligible for insurance. Those who already have insurance cover should be able to extend it to cover Spinal Touch treatment. As it is a ‘Light Touch’ therapy the insurance cover is low.
We recommend Balens. Please mention you have studied Painless Spinal Touch with Susanna Terry to pay lower insurance fees.
If you’d like to treat a member of your family you can join the first Module of the course. You can upgrade later on, once you finish another therapy or a course in anatomy and physiology. In such cases learning the technique is for your own family only and you will not be certified to work professionally with Spinal Touch.
N.B. While certification entitles you to incorporate Spinal Touch into professional practice it is not a qualification to teach this technique to others. Before the course we will ask that you sign an agreement to the effect that you will not give instruction in Spinal Touch until/unless you are specifically qualified to do so.
The booking form shows the dates of upcoming courses; the first day of the course will start at 9.45 a.m. and finish at 5.00 p.m. Subsequent days will begin at 10.00 a.m. and finish approximately at 5.00 p.m. Refreshments are offered at the breaks.
Our training attracts international interest and participants on the course are drawn from far and wide. Therapists often emphasise how much they have enjoyed having the opportunity to train in this beautiful location high in Dartmoor National Park. Please contact us first to find out whether we have spaces in our class. If you would like to attend please fill out both the application form and the booking form and return to our address with your deposit or payment through Paypal. Upon receipt of your application form and payment we’ll send you a confirmation letter and directions to the venue.
I am looking forward to teaching you this holistic body therapy.
