Thank you for your interest in ‘Light Touch’ Therapies

We offer Painless Spinal Touch Therapy Training In-person or Online

Spinal Touch is a powerful and unique treatment for assessing and treating postural distortion, the real cause of backpain and most musculoskeletal complaints.

It is unique as it realigns the body’s centre of gravity at the lower back, to the gravitational pull of our planet. Gently applied to more than a hundred reflex points and muscle insertions, it corrects musculoskeletal imbalance. At the same time it regenerates the body’s energy field.

As it does not involve the application of mechanical force it is pain-free for the client and strain-free for the practitioner. Graduates of our courses find that offering Spinal Touch to their clients transforms their work, often bringing amazing therapeutic results where all other treatments have failed. Graduates of our courses build thriving practices with Spinal Touch at the centre of their work.

Our courses are taught to small groups and offer a thorough training in Painless Spinal Touch The treatment is based on the pioneering work of Dr John Hurley a structural engineer, a healer and chiropractor who developed it in the 1920’s. From his engineering background he combined laws of leverage, physiology and acupuncture meridians.
Dr Rosquist another chiropractor discovered his work many years later.
Susanna Terry was trained by Dr Rosquist as a Spinal Touch/ Biomechanics instructor .
He validated her courses until he passed away.

The Light Touch Therapy courses are accredited by the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA) & the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) UK.
They offer 20 credits for continuous professional development (CPD)
Our training is open to qualified therapists, practitioners and fitness coaches.
Therapists and practitioners who successfully complete our training will be awarded a Diploma for the professional practice of Spinal Touch. They will be eligible for insurance. Those who already have insurance cover should be able to extend it to cover Painless Spinal Touch treatment. As it is a ‘Light Touch’ therapy the insurance cover is low.
We recommend Balens. Please mention you have studied Painless Spinal Touch with Susanna Terry to pay lower insurance fees.

If you’d like to treat a member of your family you can join the first Module of the course. You can upgrade later on, once you finish another therapy or a course in anatomy and physiology. In such cases learning the technique is for your own family only and you will not be certified to work professionally with Spinal Touch.

N.B While certification entitles you to incorporate Spinal Touch into professional practice it is not a qualification to teach this therapy to others. You will need extra training for that qualification.

The first day of the course will start at 10.15 a.m. and finish at about 5.00 p.m. Subsequent days will begin at 10.00 a.m. and finish approximately at 5.00 p.m. Refreshments are offered at the breaks. In the first module we usually offer a vegetarian Sunday lunch.

Our training attracts international interest and participants on the course are drawn from far and wide. Therapists often emphasise how much they have enjoyed having the opportunity to train in Belstone this beautiful location high in Dartmoor National Park.

Please contact us first to find out whether we have spaces in our class.
Upon payment of the fee of the course we’ll send you a confirmation letter and directions to the venue.

I am looking forward to teaching you this holistic body therapy.
